Cut each dešrelė (sausage) in half lengthwise, then cut each half in half crosswise to get 4 shorter pieces from each sausage.
Heat the sviestas (butter) in a pan over medium heat.
Add the sausage pieces and cook, turning occasionally, until browned and heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
Remove sausages from the pan and set aside.
In a small bowl, mix the majonezas (mayonnaise) and pomidorų padažas (ketchup). Season with a pinch of druska (salt) and pipirai (pepper). Add the uogienė (jam) now if using.
Lay the tortilijos (tortillas) flat. Spread a thin layer of the sauce mixture over each tortilla.
If using varškė (curd cheese), spread a thin layer over the sauce.
Place the sausage pieces (4 per tortilla) near one edge of each tortilla.
Roll up the tortillas tightly around the sausages.
Serve the tortilla rolls immediately with extra sauce for dipping!
💡 Pro Tips:
- 🔥 For a bit of crunch, lightly toast your tortilla rolls in a dry pan after assembling!
- 🔄 Get creative with fillings! Swap Varškė for butter or skip it if you prefer.
- 🌶️ Want a kick? Add a dash of hot sauce to your mayo/ketchup mix!
- 🧊 These are best enjoyed fresh, but leftover sausages are great cold!
